Jakarta, VIVA – Trade Minister Budi Santoso recently marked the milestone of releasing Mayora Indah’s 400,000 container of processed food products for export to 15 countries across Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and other regions.
This latest shipment is valued at US$1 million, or approximately IDR 15.7 billion.
Minister Santoso said that the consistent efforts of exporters in promoting Indonesian products, particularly as this export venture targets nontraditional markets.

"It aligns with the Ministry of Trade’s policy to broaden the export market for Indonesian products. Expanding export market is one of our three primary programs, and Mayora Indah has successfully extended its exports to countries outside our traditional markets," he stated on Tuesday (Oct 5).
He added, "This is precisely what we envision – for Indonesian products to reach new, untapped regions,"
The products in this shipment include confectionery items such as biscuits, wafers, candies, and instant coffee.
The 15 export destinations for this shipment are Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, South Africa, Madagascar, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Bangladesh, Armenia, and Australia.
The minister emphasized that competitiveness is key to capturing both domestic and international markets.
He urged that Indonesia’s large domestic market should motivate local products to dominate at home as well.
The Ministry of Trade continues to support domestic businesses in improving their competitiveness.
Then, Minister Santoso expressed hope that exporters will increasingly take advantage of nontraditional markets that have been opened up through various trade agreements between Indonesia and partner countries.
Soon, the Ministry expects to finalize three trade agreements with Canada, Peru, and the Eurasian region.
As for supporting exports from small and medium enterprises (SMEs), the Ministry has launched the “SMEs Ready to Innovate, Ready to Adapt for Export” program. This initiative is designed to help more SMEs enter the export market.
“We applaud Mayora for collaborating with local coffee farmers and using locally produced machinery in its production process. We hope to see more of this kind of cooperation and collaboration,” he added.
Mayora Indah CEO Andre Sukendra Atmadja highlighted that Mayora Group, as an Indonesian company, has demonstrated that Indonesian products can compete on the global stage.
In line with the government’s efforts to promote export commodities, Mayora Group proudly released its 400,000th export container to 15 countries at once today.
“Mayora aims to show that Indonesia is more than just a production base for foreign brands. We can create our own brands and products, export them, and even become market leaders abroad," Atmadja explained.
He further said that he wants to prove that Indonesian-branded products can be world-class, elevating Indonesia’s reputation and pride on the global stage.
