Jakarta, VIVA – The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Bakrie, expressed strong optimism that Indonesia’s investment climate in the infrastructure sector will become increasingly vibrant and promising.
Bakrie emphasized that Kadin fully supports President Prabowo’s initiative to open wide opportunities for both domestic and international private investors to take part in infrastructure development.
“Kadin welcomes it positively, especially since President Prabowo stated that the government is opening wide opportunities for private parties, both local and foreign,” he said on Thursday (June 12).

Beyond infrastructure, Bakrie stated that President Prabowo’s administration is also targeting resilience in several key sectors, such as water, energy, and food security.
“This is very clear, especially in terms of food security, where we’ve seen major progress in achieving self-sufficiency in rice and corn,” Bakrie remarked.
He stressed that such developments are a positive signal for Kadin, particularly for Kadin representatives at the provincial and district/city levels across Indonesia.
They, also can contribute to supporting government efforts in achieving food security targets.
In addition, he said similar initiatives are being pushed by the Prabowo-Gibran administration to boost national economic growth to the 8 percent target.
This includes funding of around IDR 250 trillion for the People's Business Credit (KUR) program and approximately IDR 200 trillion for the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program.
“All of this will have a significant impact on Indonesia’s economy. So, I really welcome President Prabowo’s initiative in opening doors for private sector collaboration," he conveyed.
He then also mentioned that the government will focus on education, health, and defense, but is also keen to cooperate and collaborate. What form that takes can certainly be discussed.
