Jakarta, VIVA – PT Volta Indonesia Semesta, a subsidiary of PT NFC Indonesia Tbk under the MCASH Group, has introduced a new electric motorcycle program called "Volta-R (Rent-to-Own)." The initiative features a battery rental system aimed at making electric motorcycles more financially accessible to consumers.
By allowing monthly battery payments instead of a large upfront investment, the program seeks to encourage more people to transition to environmentally friendly transportation.
Recognizing that high initial costs can deter potential buyers, Volta offers a battery rental option where ownership is transferred to consumers after a three-year rental period. This approach aims to ease financial burdens and provide a more practical path to electric vehicle ownership.
The Volta electric motorcycles are equipped with LiFePO4 lithium battery technology, known for its durability and efficiency. A key feature of these batteries is their flexibility in charging. Consumers can use the provided home charger to recharge batteries separately from the motorcycle, eliminating the need for a fixed charging location.
In addition to product quality, Volta emphasizes after-sales support, offering product warranties and customer service. The company has established over 400 Battery Charging Stations across Indonesia, ensuring convenient access to recharging facilities for users.
"We aim to provide more affordable and convenient solutions for Indonesians to switch to electric motorcycles," said Okie Octavia Kurniawan, CEO of Volta.
"Through our battery rental system and the high quality of our products, we hope more consumers can experience the benefits of eco-friendly transportation."
Starting March 10, 2025, the latest Volta electric motorcycle models will be available at Volta’s main dealers across Indonesia. Prices begin at approximately IDR 10 million. As part of the initial launch, the company is offering a one-year free battery rental to the first 100 customers.
