Jakarta, VIVA – Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Bakrie, attended the grand opening of the JK6 Data Center owned by DCI Indonesia (DCI), located in the MM2100 Industrial Area, Cibitung, Bekasi, West Java.
Anindya Bakrie as Kadin Chairman, said the launch was part of DCI’s 119 Megawatt (MW) project, which supports the expansion of Indonesia’s data center infrastructure.
“This is the launch of a 39 MW phase. The total planned capacity for DCI is 119 MW, contributing 40% of Indonesia’s data center capacity,” he said on Tuesday (June 3).

Bakrie expressed pride that a data center owned entirely by local Indonesians could compete on a global scale.
“This is a genuine effort by Indonesians. It’s 100% locally owned, but the quality matches that of global players,” Bakrie remarked.
He also stated that Indonesia’s demand for digital data infrastructure will keep growing, in line with its large and growing population.
“There’s a massive amount of data in Indonesia because we have a lot of people. That means high demand—and the infrastructure for this is the data center,” he explained.
Bakrie continued, “So I congratulate DCI Indonesia. I hope this brings success not just for shareholders, management, and employees, but also helps enhance digital security and Indonesia’s digital sovereignty."
