Washington D.C, VIVA – President Donald Trump announced that the United States would take control of Gaza, which has suffered from war, after relocating the Palestinian population elsewhere. He also stated his intention to develop Gaza's economy.

The head of state made this statement during a press conference at the White House alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

This announcement followed Trump's earlier proposal to permanently relocate Palestinians from Gaza to neighboring countries such as Jordan, Egypt, and other Arab nations.

Trump’s remarks have been met with rejection from several countries worldwide. Below are some of the nations that have opposed his plan:

Palestine

Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s proposal to take over Gaza and relocate its Palestinian residents elsewhere.

"We will not allow violations of our people's rights. We have been fighting for their rights for decades," Abbas declared in a statement.

"Such a proposal is a serious violation of international law. Peace and stability in the region cannot be achieved without the establishment of a Palestinian state," he added.

China

China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated its opposition to the forced relocation of Palestinians from Gaza.

"We oppose the forced displacement of people in Gaza and hope that all parties will take advantage of the ceasefire and post-conflict governance in Gaza to bring the Palestinian issue back on the right track," Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said in a press conference in Beijing on Wednesday.

"China has always believed that 'Palestinians governing Palestine' is a fundamental principle of post-conflict governance in Gaza," Jian added.

"China firmly upholds the principle that Palestine should govern itself. Therefore, we oppose forced relocation targeting the people of Gaza, and we also hope that relevant parties will use the ceasefire as an opportunity to return the Palestinian issue to a political resolution based on the two-state solution," Jian emphasized.

Germany

German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier strongly criticized U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to "take over Gaza" and permanently relocate its Palestinian population to other countries.

Speaking to German media before meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Steinmeier stated that he encountered "disappointment, deep concerns, and in some cases, outright anger" over Trump’s proposal.

He stressed that any sustainable solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict must guarantee "security for Israel and the right of Palestinians to self-determination."

Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its "firm rejection of any form of violation of the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, whether through Israeli settlement policies, land annexation, or efforts to expel Palestinians from their land."

Jordan

Meanwhile, Jordan’s King Abdullah warned of the dangers of attempting to relocate Palestinians, stressing that "any solution must not come at the expense of Jordan’s security and stability, or that of the region."

He also emphasized the importance of "enhancing Arab efforts to support Palestinian resilience on their land, maintaining the ceasefire in Gaza, and strengthening humanitarian response efforts in the region."

Egypt

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty highlighted the urgency of accelerating Gaza’s reconstruction projects, ensuring the distribution of aid, and clearing debris—without relocating the Palestinian population from their homeland.

Oman

Oman’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its "firm stance and absolute rejection of any attempt to relocate Gaza’s residents and Palestinians from their occupied territories".

The ministry also underscored the importance of "respecting the Palestinian people's legitimate right to establish an independent state on their land.

Oman emphasized that any plan to relocate Palestinians from their homeland "constitutes a blatant violation of international law and UN resolutions, as well as a threat to regional security and stability."

United Arab Emirates

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reiterated its "strong rejection of any violation of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people, including any attempt at forced displacement."

The ministry further emphasized "the need to halt settlement activities that threaten regional stability and undermine prospects for peace and coexistence."
