Jakarta, VIVA – The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Bakrie, along with the Chairman of the National Economic Council (DEN), Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, discussed legal certainty and business permits for investors in Indonesia.
Bakrie stated that the world is currently in a state of uncertainty due to significant geopolitical and geo-economic changes.
"We need to understand that with these geopolitical and geo-economic shifts, there are many things we must address domestically. However, we also received a lot of input regarding investment and downstreaming, particularly concerning legal certainty, licensing, land issues, and downstream industries," Bakrie said on Tuesday (March 25).

Additionally, Anindya Bakrie mentioned that Kadin and DEN also discussed downstreaming efforts and solar panels.
"We talked not only about nickel and its downstreaming process but also about solar panels and their downstream industry. So, there was quite a lot to cover," he remarked.
Ultimately, Bakrie emphasized that Pandjaitan urged Kadin to continue collaborating with DEN to provide concrete recommendations to the government.
"But the main point is that Kadin has been asked to keep working with the National Economic Council to offer tangible input to the government. More importantly, for Kadin, it’s about the business sector. We want to ensure that businesses continue to move forward," he concluded.
