Jakarta, VIVA – Jasa Marga reported that a total of 1,194,225 vehicles had returned to the Greater Jakarta area between Eid Day (H1) and the fourth day after (H+4) of the 1446H Eid al-Fitr holiday, which fell between Monday to Saturday, March 31 to April 5, 2025.
Lisye Octaviana, Head of the Corporate Communication and Community Development Group at Jasa Marga, stated that the figure represents the cumulative traffic volume recorded at four main toll gates:
• Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (from Trans Java),
• Kalihurip Utama Toll Gate and the Functional Japek II Selatan Toll Gate (from Bandung),
• Cikupa Toll Gate (from Merak), and
• Ciawi Toll Gate (from Puncak).
“The total traffic volume returning to Greater Jakarta increased by 49.8% compared to normal traffic volume, which is usually around 797,033 vehicles,” Octaviana said in a statement on Sunday (Apr 6).

In terms of traffic distribution by direction:
• 662,945 vehicles (55.5%) came from the East (Trans Java and Bandung),
• 283,209 vehicles (23.7%) came from the West (Merak),
• 248,071 vehicles (20.8%) came from the South (Puncak).
Detailed traffic distribution:
From the East (Trans Java & Bandung):
• 389,028 vehicles entered from Trans Java via the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, marking a 152.3% increase from normal.
• 273,917 vehicles entered from Bandung via the Kalihurip Utama Toll Gate on the Cipularang Toll Road and the Functional Japek II Selatan Toll Gate, marking a 57.6% increase.
In total, traffic from the East amounted to 662,945 vehicles, a 102.1% increase from the normal volume.
From the West (Merak):
• 283,209 vehicles returned to Jabotabek via the Cikupa Toll Gate on the Tangerang-Merak Toll Road, which is a 1.4% increase from the usual volume.
From the South (Puncak):
• 248,071 vehicles came via the Ciawi Toll Gate on the Jagorawi Toll Road, a 30.8% increase from normal traffic.
She added, “On H+4 (Saturday, April 5, 2025), 275,685 vehicles returned through the four main toll gates, representing a 96.01% increase from the usual daily traffic of 140,648 vehicles.”
She also noted that the national one-way traffic scheme was implemented on the morning of April 5, starting at 9.40 A.M. local time from KM 414 Kalikangkung Toll Gate on the Batang-Semarang Toll Road to KM 70 on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road.
