Anindya Bakrie Showcases Danantara to Attract Foreign Investment

Los Angeles, VIVA – The Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin), Anindya Bakrie, was one of the speakers at the 'Milken Institute Global Conference 2025,' held in Los Angeles from May 4-7, 2025.

This year, one of the key topics that he plans to present is introducing Danantara, Indonesia's Sovereign Wealth Fund, to the global audience.

"I'm currently at the Milken Conference 2025. This time, I'm attending with friends from Danantara, promoting investment opportunities in Indonesia," Bakrie said on Tuesday (May 6).

He then emphasized that the effort to attract foreign investment to Indonesia has become more effective with Danantara's presence.

Danantara serves as a Sovereign Wealth Fund equipped with funding, expertise, and specialized strategies to assist foreign investors.

"The good thing is, now we have Danantara—our Sovereign Wealth Fund—which has the capital, expertise, and experience to guide foreign investors entering Indonesia," he explained.

Conversely, Bakrie stated that if Indonesia wants to invest abroad, it is more attractive with Danantara playing a significant role in international investment strategies, especially amid global tariff policy discussions.

"For instance, we're not only interested in importing goods from the U.S., whether commodities or technology, but there are also opportunities to invest in companies in America, which are currently in high demand," he remarked.
