Bill Gates acknowledged the importance of the program, especially for improving health outcomes.
Then Hindayana noted that Gates emphasized the need to prioritize pregnant women and young children, particularly during the early stages of development.
“He (Bill Gates) believes this is a very important program, especially focusing on the first 1,000 days — meaning pregnant mothers, toddlers, and children in their growth phase,” Hindayana explained.
The visit covered only one school, and after the site inspection, President Prabowo personally escorted Bill Gates to the airport.
As information, the Free Nutritious Meal Program is a flagship initiative by President Prabowo aimed at improving the quality of Indonesia’s human resources.
It seeks to provide free, nutritious meals to school children, particularly in elementary schools to combat stunting and enhance learning concentration.
