Jakarta, VIVA – Kadin Indonesia's Division of Regional Potential Empowerment (PPD) recently held a coordination meeting led by Deputy Chairman of the PPD Division, K. Wirawan.

The meeting, which took place at The Groove by Grand Aston, was attended by permanent committee representatives, regional Kadin members, and several related stakeholders.

The aim of the meeting was to align the 2025 work programs, strengthen synergy among stakeholders, and address challenges in regional economic development.

Wirawan outlined three main priority programs for the year. The first is LENTERA, a catfish farming training initiative targeting 1,000 participants and the formation of 100 new business groups.

"The main challenge we face is limited access to financing for new entrepreneurs," he said on Thuraday (May 15).

The second program, DAUR EMAS, is a strategic partnership initiative focused on waste management and the circular economy, supported by green financing and CSR schemes.

The third, KADIN GOES TO REGION, focuses on identifying regional potential and enhancing business matching with investors, particularly in priority areas.

The meeting also reviewed the roles of the committees and the challenges they face.

For instance, Committee 1 has completed mapping of natural and human resources in five provinces.

Committee 2 reported that MSME market digitalization has reached 30%, although it still lacks adequate logistics infrastructure.

Committee 3 highlighted the need for intensive support to strengthen 50 BUMDes and cooperatives.

Committee 4 pointed out bureaucratic obstacles in soft loan facilitation, despite financial literacy efforts reaching 1,000 MSMEs.

As a strategic step forward, the PPD Division proposed several recommendations: forming a multi-stakeholder coordination team involving local governments and the private sector; building key infrastructure such as cold storage and road improvements in production centers; launching a regional potential data integration platform in Q3 2025; and preparing policy recommendations to accelerate business licensing at the regional level.

The PPD Division also gathered strategic insights from speakers on economic connectivity between central and regional areas.

Vice Chairman for Organizational Affairs, Taufan Eko Nugroho Rotorasiko, emphasized the importance of economic diplomacy through Kadin's involvement in international forums.

Meanwhile, Senior Advisor Faisal Assegaf urged Kadin to focus on bold ideas to win in today’s geopolitical-economic competition.

Mulya Amri from KADIN Institute expressed readiness to provide data and policy recommendations to support institutional strengthening programs at the regional level.

Wirawan closed the meeting by reaffirming Kadin Indonesia’s commitment to driving collaboration and innovation in regional development.

“We will continue to strengthen synergy with all parties, including the government and business players, to ensure these targets are achieved optimally,” he stated.

Follow-up plans include quarterly KPI evaluations starting in June 2025 and a follow-up meeting at the Kadin Indonesia Tower.

Kadin Indonesia remains a strategic partner to the government and business sector in supporting national economic growth.

The PPD Division of Kadin is committed to developing regional potential through sustainable and collaborative programs.
