Jakarta, VIVA – Indonesian President, Prabowo Subianto, is set to host an official visit from Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese. The visit is scheduled to take place from May 14 to 16, 2025.
It will be Prime Minister Albanese’s first overseas trip following his re-election in Australia's federal election and his official swearing-in on May 13, 2025.

“Prime Minister Albanese, who has just been re-elected as Australia’s Prime Minister, is scheduled to be sworn in on May 13, 2025, and will immediately depart for Indonesia the following evening, on May 14,” read a statement from the Cabinet Secretariat on Tuesday (May 13).
The meeting between President Prabowo and PM Albanese will take place at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta and will include several official agendas.
During the visit, the two leaders are expected to discuss a range of priority issues, including strengthening Indonesia–Australia cooperation across multiple sectors.
Earlier, Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya met with Australia’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Roderick Bruce Brazier, at the Cabinet Secretariat Building in Jakarta.
Ambassador Brazier’s visit was aimed at coordinating the agenda for PM Albanese’s trip. The visit is expected to further enhance bilateral cooperation between Indonesia and Australia in strategic sectors.
Moreover, both countries hope the visit will result in concrete agreements that deliver tangible benefits for the people of both nations
